How We Test
Every product review on Keep Her Strong follows the same evidence-based methodology. This page explains what that process is, so you can judge our conclusions the same way we do.
We analyze formulation, not hands-on experience
We do not purchase, use, or personally test the products we review. Instead, we analyze the publicly available formulation — the label, the manufacturer’s disclosed ingredient panel, and any certificate of analysis — against published, peer-reviewed research on each ingredient. This is a formulation and evidence analysis, not a usage trial.
What we check
For every ingredient on the label, we compare the disclosed dose against the dose used in the clinical literature for that ingredient, and we note the chemical form (for example, magnesium glycinate versus magnesium oxide, which absorb very differently). We check for third-party certification — NSF Certified for Sport, Informed Sport, or Creapure for creatine — and we check whether the marketing claims on the product page match what the label and the research actually support.
What goes in the review
Every review states who performed the analysis (reviewedBy), the exact
methodology used (methodology), a verdict in plain language, and a list of
pros and cons grounded in the formulation review. Every evidence-analysis
review carries a visible note that we did not use the product hands-on. We
do not publish an aggregate star rating pulled from other sites — every
rating on this site is tied to a named reviewer and their analysis.
When a review is based on hands-on use
When a review is based on hands-on use, it is labeled as such and names the person who used the product, the testing window, and what was measured. That is a different, clearly marked review mode from the formulation analysis described above — the two are never blended into a single, unlabeled claim.
Limits of this process
A formulation analysis tells you whether a product’s label and dosing match the published evidence for its ingredients; it does not tell you how the product performs for an individual user. We describe our conclusions as evidence-based analysis, not as a personal usage outcome or as proof of any biological effect on the reader.
